New contest? Yep.
Yes, I'm doing a new contest over at the Captain Ahole site. All I'm asking people to do if they want to enter is draw a pic of Cap and Scoot performing some mundane, everyday activity that we all have to do. We all have to wash dishes, take showers, wash our dogs/cats, clean out the litter box, brush our teeth, get the mail, take out the trash....you get the idea. I figured this would be a simple one, and people could have fun having a superhero doing some boring thing that normal people do. I even through out some cool prizes I have lying around, too. A hardcover graphic novel, a softcover one, some more Cap buttons, and of course, the winner gets his webcomic banner put on the site. Why wouldn't people enter? I hope a lot of people DO enter, because I want at least a week to take a break, and to have a little extra time to build up the buffer. Well, that's all for now.

New stuff....
Uh oh, I might be stretching myself thin again. I always do this. I'm doing good with Captain Ahole, I even have a decent buffer of around twelve pages. So what do I do? I start up my webcomic review site, Webcomic Asylum, again. Am I a doofus? Yes. But I do enjoy the webcomics, and comics in general, and like to be a part of this "community". So stick with me, and support me sometimes, will ya? It gets lonely out here sometimes.....:)

Pages keep on comin....
I'm wondering what others out there do to keep up the motivation, on those days when you sit down with pen and paper(or cpu and drawing program), maybe a cup of coffee or soda, and want to draw, but....can't? Like, there is just something blocking the creative process. Sometimes I just take my dog, Roxy, for a walk, and take some deep breaths of fresh air. Usually art IS the thing that relaxes me, but as you all know, or have at least felt once, when you start a webcomic, you have to attempt to have a set schedule, if you want to be taken at least semi-seriously. And that makes it feel like another responsibility, or another job. Yikes! But, most of the time, it's much more enjoyable than your regular job, so it shouldn't be that big of a worry. I'm totally just rambling. I'm done.

Contest? What to do, what to do....
I've got a few ideas right now, for the new contest, and for a new webcomic review blog. First, the contest. I'm thinking about doing a contest for the readers to maybe design a new logo for Captain Ahole. The winning logo would, of course, be thehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif new logo for the website. Prizes are going to either be Captain Ahole and Scoot plushies, or a stack of mint condition comic books I found in a box in my closet from the nineties, still in bags with boards. Or have the plushies be for the winner, and the comics for second place, and some Cap buttons for third place. Anyone have any suggestions? For a contest or for prizes? I'm all ears....
And for the review site. I used to do webcomic asylum, but...yknow what, maybe I should just start updating on that site again. The only problem is that I did a LOT of reviews, pretty detailed, and now I just want to do short, REALLY short, sorta-reviews, with a rating. I just wanna go to a webcomic, read a decent amount of pages, give it a once over, and say, "Hm. Wartface and Bucky is a decent comic. The art is kinda bland, but not too bad on the eyes. The story is pretty funny, and although it didn't make me excited to read the next page, it kept me around for a few. I'll give it C." What do you think? Should I do this, or just stick to Captain Ahole, instead of splitting my attention and time between two projects? Let me know what you think, because I yearn for comments!!!!

New pages up now!
Yep, Draxenn, the creator of Garazoul, the main villain of issue 4, is actually writing and drawing these last five pages of the issue, to help me out, because I got totally burnt out on the story. But luckily, my drive is back, and I've already completed ten pages of issue 5 and the cover, and drawn and halfway colored page 11, which I will finish tonight. I'm shooting for around twenty five to thirty pages for this ish, and then issue 6 will be a really short one. I'm trying to work on my writing, to keep it tighter, funnier, and more fast paced. ALSO, Cap is debuting his desert themed costume in the issue, AND at the end of it, his new permanent costume! I got tired of drawing the cape(it's a BITCH to draw, trust me), and never really liked the colors, so I reworked the entire thing slightly. Here's hopin' you all like it....
